FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSQ: Can we alter something while you wait or on the same day? A: Yes, normally this is no problem, but we ask that you try to allow 2 or 3 days if possible. We have a waiting area with books and magazines.Q: Can we shorten clothes when they have a particular detail on the hem or sleeve edge? A: Yes, we have methods that we use to keep all ‘edge’ details even faded edges, in fact we always endeavour to provide an identical finish. Q: Do we dry-clean clothes? A: Yes, we can arrange for dry-cleaning of a garment that we are altering or repairing, but we do not take in dry-cleaning separately. Q: Can I see Ellen? A: Yes, I am available at the shop every day and some Saturday’s. You do not need to make an appointment. If I am busy there is usually 2 fully trained members of staff to attend solely to your needs for fitting and service. Q: Do I need to try my clothes on? A: No, although we do recommend it. We provide a fiting service for you and have 2 large fitting rooms. Don’t forget to bring your shoes, belt, underwear etc that you may need to try on with the garment to fit correctly. If you provide the measurement for the alteration we cannot except responsibility if these are incorrect. Q: Do we alter Wedding Dresses? A: Yes, we have lots of experience and have one dedicated memeber of staff for evening and bridal alterations. We have lots of good ideas if you need a dress made larger and taking in is no problem whether beaded, boned, lace or chiffon. Q: Do we alter men’s clothes? A: Yes, we have two memebers of staff who are tailors with exceptional skills. We can alter, re-design, repair and re-line any item of a mans wardrobe whether a suit, jeans, t-shirt or jumper. Q: Do we alter leather wear? A: Yes provided our machines can cope with them then so can we! |
